Hello, my name is Craig, and I’m a portrait photographer based in the heart of Glasgow with over 15 years of experience behind the lens.
My passion for photography began at a young age with a simple point-and-shoot film camera, capturing candid moments of my family. In 2010, I began my photography journey more seriously, initially focusing on landscapes. Growing up in Helensburgh, I was fortunate to have Loch Lomond and its stunning scenery right on my doorstep. Some of my earliest and proudest work included photographing the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) dancing over the loch.
In 2017, my creative direction shifted from landscapes to portrait and fashion photography — where I truly found my calling. I studied HNC/HND Photography at West College Scotland in 2013/2014, where I created one of my most meaningful images: a black-and-white natural light portrait of my late grandfather. That moment solidified my love for capturing people, their stories, and the emotions behind the lens.
For me, portrait photography is about connection. I pride myself on building a genuine rapport with every person I photograph. Friends and family often say I have the “gift of the gab” — and I believe it’s true! It allows me to put people at ease, making the experience relaxed, enjoyable, and authentic.
